A vehicle transport can take anywhere from two days to up to ten days for cross-country trips. Yes, your vehicle is fully insured by the carrier company’s cargo and liability policy from the moment the vehicle is loaded onto the truck until it is unloaded.

The vehicle is inspected at pick up and at delivery. A Bill of Lading is written out on the condition of the car at pick up. If there are any damages upon delivery, they must be written on the Bill of Lading at that point.

We suggest you remove any personal items, especially anything of value as these items are not covered under the insurance. Remove any automatic toll devices and disable any sort of security devices which could give the driver issues when loading or unloading the vehicle. There should be no items inside the vehicle that obstruct the rear view.

Yes, non-running vehicles can be shipped. Mountainview specializes in transporting inoperable vehicles that may require special equipment such as winches or liftgates for safe loading and unloading. Be sure to let us know the vehicle’s condition when requesting your quote so we can arrange the proper transport solution.

At both pickup and delivery it is recommended that you be present, however, we know sometimes work schedules conflict with this process. A representative can also be there to inspect the vehicle and mark any damage on the Bill of Lading prior to signing it. If you think you aren’t going to be available, feel free to contact our office and we’ll work to accommodate you on a case-by-case basis.

For optimal results, we advise you try to schedule your transport 2-4 weeks in advance. A driver is usually scheduled 4 days prior to desired pick up day.
